Seagate data recovery in Birmingham

Monday, September 23rd, 2019

I’m in the Birmingham area and have a Seagate 2TB external hard drive that’s been fine for several years. However, when I plug it in now, the white light just flashes. If I go to eject the drive, the drive is listed to eject but it’s not listed or accessible in Windows Explorer. I need a data recovery service in Birmingham.

Data Clinic Birmingham is located at 11 St Paul’s Square, Birmingham B3 1RB – here’s a link to their data recovery Birmingham page, their location is also shown on the map below.

We have a Seagate Backup Plus Slim portable drive 1TB, Model: SRD00F. I have had the hard drive for little over a year, I pulled the USB 3.0 cable out of the hard drive and the bit it plugs into came out with it meaning I can’t use it anymore and I cannot retrieve any of my files from the hard drive. Is there any way I can either have the drive fixed or retrieve the data ? The hard drive has stopped working. We are near to Birmingham city centre and need the data taking off the hard drive and putting onto something else.

We also have a 3TB Seagate Expansion Desktop Drive Model SRD00F2, SN: NA4JKF5K , PN: 1D7AP3-500 3TB. (Out of warranty).

All was going well when the house fuse tripped out. I traced the fault back to the Seagate unit that had stopped working. The adapter that came with the unit looked and smelt burnt and had stopped working. I found an old lap top lead, plugged it into the unit but it just clicked. Did it again a week later and the unit didn’t click, but made a high pitch squeak and a smell of burning. Can you get the data off the unit and how much would it cost? I can deliver it to the Data Clinic data recovery centre in Birmingham B1 1BD

Data Recovery Birmingham and Manchester

Wednesday, July 31st, 2019

I work near your data recovery offices in Manchester and Birmingham and have a Seagate Barracuda 1 Terabyte hard disk with firmware: LC15. I bought this a few years ago and after some time is broke down.
The hard disk still runs however it is impossible to read any information from it. From the noise it creates I believe the reader or the reader head is broken but the disk itself may be in relatively good condition.
I have an exact same seagate barracude 1 terabyte disk i bought along with this one that still works. I would not mind using the reader of that disk on the broken one.
it technicianThe disk contains some extremely important information for me and it is vital that the information can be extracted (I am aware no-one can give me 100% guarantee). I also ask if it possible for me to be there in person as this recovery happens. ,
My hard drive has been damaged by water and it’s not working anymore. It was inside a Mac Book Pro 2012. It has been removed by a specialist in the Apple Store, but they don’t do recovery of it. I bought a case to try it in another laptop, but it doesn’t work. It’s a 256 Gb, not completely full.

When I plug in the USB the icon appears and it says it’s half full but when I open it it says ‘folder empty’. An IT technician in Bolton, Manchester at my workplace managed to recover some files however I am not really able to open them unless they are word documents (can’t open ppts and PDFs).

Laptop has recently been formatted and windows 10 installed replacing windows 7. There was data on a users profile Desktop, My Documents etc that was not backed up. Wondering if it would be possible to retrieve the data from the windows 7 profile.

2TB WD HD stopped mounting or powering up. Removed from case and booted in caddy but is asking to be initialized. I did run a recovery tool which picked up some data. Birmingham based, can you email me a hard drive recovery quote?

SSHD no longer functional. Essential data needed to be recovered in Manchester.

I own a western digital external drive ‘passport’ which was password protecged by me a year ago and now I am unble to access it as I forgot the password. Is there anything that can be done to retrieve the data?

My mother recently had her laptop fail after allowing a Windows 10 update.
We thought we had been making regular backups to a separate hard drive, but these don’t seem to have been working for a year or so.
We took the machine to a local company in Manchester, who diagnosed that they needed to completely reinstall Windows 10.
Now we can’t find any of the old files since 2016.
Is there any hope of finding a way to recover these files please? The computer is in Birmingham.

Hard drive reports as ‘not initialised’, Birmingham data recovery

Friday, April 26th, 2019

I live in Birmingham and have a WD Passport made in 2007. I’m looking for a data recovery company local to Birmingham.
It does not show in my computer.
The drive is recognised by windows device manager but shows as ‘not initialised‘.
It is not recognised in partition software such as MiniTool and EaseUS.
Mechanically it seems fine; the light is on, it seems to be humming.

Whilst using my Seagate portable hard drive it began to make a ‘clicking’ sound. On trying to save my document the drive was no longer visible on ‘my pc’. Our IT team have looked at it but are unable to retrieve any data using their limited resources. They tell me that the hard drive is not initialising. I would be grateful if you could let me know if this is something you could help with. I am in Birmingham and looking to have the data on the hard drive forensically examined – I require the data to be investigated.

How much it cost to recover data from an Apple disk drive which crashed and no longer initialises? It’s mainly data or word files?

Western digital external hard drive not initialised.
Plugged it in, files started disappearing in front of my eyes…..
Could I get a ball park quote of how much recovery may cost?

I dropped my 2TB slim seagate external hard drive from about 1m onto wooden floor.
It now won’t connect or read and it makes a clicking sound.
The data is highly important to me, so obviously I need the data and files recovering.

A Samsung M3 600gb external hard drive that makes a few beeps when is connected, stops and then doesn’t seem to be spinning. I’m looking for a data recovery service in Birmingham.

PC at work and school not reading portable drive…light not coming on. IT technician in Birmingham at school says it is ‘dead’. Can anything be retrieved. 7 years of school work on it.

I have Samsung HD103SI 3.5″ HDD with dead head and I would like to know how much would it cost to get that head replaced with working one

Hardrive beeps and sounds like it is struggling to spin and initialise when plugged into laptop – also not recognised mounting on any laptop or larger macs – have tried multiple leads etc

Birmingham / Worcester Hard Drive Recoveries

Monday, January 7th, 2019

There’s a fairly good amount of hard drive recovery work available in the West Midlands. Covering the areas of Birmingham, Worcestershire and Tamworth, the call for data and file recovery services can be quite high.
The Arena is located right in the centre of Birmingham close to Broad Street and many businesses and I recently had an enquiry that went like this:

Broad Street BirminghamI have a WD passport and it will not connect to the laptop and will not recognise the hard drive as a USB. It just keeps whirring and beeping. I have looked online and tried to resolve myself but cant.
I think it is completely bust and I need to recover the data on the hard drive please. If you could send me a quote it would be much appreciated.
I live in Worcester so not far away from your Birmingham office.

I have a WD 2TB hdd whose controller is not working to the best of my knowledge.
The drive and the engine spins up perfectly although there is no recognition on the computer that it is connected.
Do you swap controllers ? please note that, it is also needed to replace the rom bios chip on the controller.
I’ll provide further information if requested – I’ve live near Tamworth, West Midlands but work on Broad Street in Birmingham.

My External WD 1T HDD is not working due to mechanical issue. It gives beep sound once connected and last for 30 second before the power down. It’s a personal HDD and I will like to know the price of recovery. Also, is it possible to drop it to one of your office as I don’t trust post.

Drive has started making knocking noise. iOmega drive with Seagate internal disk. Doesn’t appear in Windows explorer anymore, appears in Disk Manager as uninitialized. Full 1TB drive looking for recovery possibilities
