Important research data needed in Newcastle

Friday, May 4th, 2018

As a post graduate at Newcastle University my Seagate Hard drive fell on the floor.
When powered the drive clicks and spins down.
My organisation Computer Service in Newcastle has opened the drive within clean lab for internal examination.
Diagnosis is that failing read/write heads prevents access to data
There is possible damage on media surface area causing mechanical and logical read/write operation to fail.
Partition tables unreadable due to read/write failure.
My organisation CSD could not access to data due to damaged read/write head and has not capacity to repair.
The hard drive is not full (approx. half of total capacity is occupied).
It contains very important research data (not backed up).

I dropped my Seagate hard drive and it can no longer be recognised when plugged into my laptop or desktop computer. The blue light is still flashing but the hard drive is now making a continuous ‘beeping’ noise. I believe that the needle is jammed and does not allow the disk to spin anymore.

82 gb IBM 3.5 PATA internal drive that is not recognised when i use a caddy pata / sata adaptor on my pnew pc. It feels like its spinnging up but it is not recognised in storage management or seen in my computer. I would like a quote to know how much to recover the 3 folders of data on this drive. I live in Jesmond, just outside Newcastle.

My 2011 MacBook Pro 17” hard drive failed. Also the motherboard died. The local Apple store said the motherboard can’t be fixed. But also they can not recover the data on the hard drive. I’m not an expert here, but apparently the needle has flipped up to prevent damage to actual hard drive disk.
So I have the hard drive removed but he can not recover the data, and recommend to contact a data recovery service.

I have two external hard drives. One is broken and makes a rattling sound. (brand:integral). The other comes on with a light but does not connect to my laptop. (brand:Toshiba). I was just wondering whether you are able to retrieve the photos and documents etc from them and if so how much that would cost.

My laptop was smashed and my harddisk got bent and as a result I can’t access my files, please may I know if it can be fix there in the UK, I can send the drive via DHL or come down my self to the UK thanks. I work for Newcastle Sciences.
