Apple Mac Data Recovery in Liverpool, London and Manchester

Wednesday, March 27th, 2019

In this article we look at various facets of Apple Mac data recovery – particularly from hard drives. We recommend that if you are wanting to use a data recovery service to retrieve your Apple Mac files then you find a suitable data clinic recovery centre. These are available in Liverpool, London or Manchester.

Since an update to my Macbook OSX (to high sierra) the external drive is not being recognised by the Macbook. It used to be recognised by other macs running a previous operating system but now it is not being read by any mac. It is partitioned to exFat and Mac OS Journal. I have ran terminal commands and checked my system report but it doesn’t show in either nor in recovery mode or safe mode. I am based in Liverpool but the laptop is located in London. Do you have a Mac data recovery clinic in either Liverpool or London?

A local data recovery technician at home had looked at my Mac hard drive. He has taken it apart. This is what he said:
“Unfortunately the coatings that the information is stored on is scraped off in several areas from the disk and the heads that read info are also damaged so its therefore impossible to retrieve anything unfortunately.”
Is there anything you can do to rescue the files from the Mac hard drive? I am a school principal at a Manchester clinic and years of data and work is stored in this drive.

I have a Seagate 1tb external drive. it was working and then suddenly stopped showing on My Computer. It would click two or three time then stop. It took the Mac hard drive to several PC shops – in London, Liverpool and Manchester. All 3 recommended the data clinic recovery company on Lombard Street London. i took the drive to them and they returned it saying there is platter damage and that it is unrecoverable. what i need is a second opinion and im still hopeful some of my data is available. i have pictures and a report from them. all he has returned is the inner drive casing so there is no power plug or usb port.
my question is does this sound like something unfixable or is it something you could look at.

My little one poured some water on my Apple Macbook Air laptop. I did a short and long DST test and they both failed (I have the error code as well). Tried to connect the hard disk to the computer but was not able to open it using Apple Mac data clinic recovery software. I would like to save any data that can be saved from the hard drive.

Hard drive not mounting in disk utility

Tuesday, March 5th, 2019

Hard drive will not mount in disc utility, (mac) disc utility will not repair the disc and has advised formatting. due to the fairly old and cheap nature of the hard drive im not sure wether its damage to the internal bits or the usb interface/cable etc. Ive ordered a new hard drive and any data recovered from the old drive can be put on the new one. When is the best time to bring in the drives to be sorted out?

disk utility (wd) macI have a Seagate External Hard drive (500GB, S/N: 2GHKB6S6 and P/N: 9SF2A2-500) which I dropped onto the floor now the hard drive won’t show up on disk utility on my Mac. Currently it is not registering when inserting it into the computer. The Hard Drive contains pictures which I would like to recover.
I have already sent it to KrollOntrack who were unable to recover any data. When returning the hard drive, KrollOntrack sent me the following information:
We have now completed the recovery attempt on your Hard Drive. Although we spent a long time trying to bypass the failures that had occurred, unfortunately this time we were unable to recover any data from the drive, thus the drive has been deemed unrecoverable by our engineers. The Hard Drive was suffering from Internal Mechanical Failure (problems with the internal mechanical components) and Severe Physical Media Damage (physical damage to the platters where data is stored) and although trying exhaustive techniques to bypass this, we have not been successful.
I understand some companies have different techniques to recover data, so please let me know if you think you will have better luck recovering the data?

Cyclic Redundancy Check – London
I have a 1TB western digital passport portable hard drive. I was adding some files to the hard drive when all of a sudden it stopped copying and said ‘data cyclic error redundancy check‘. I cannot access any of the files as it is not being read. I am abroad at the moment. I will be flying in to London on the 19th of January and leaving again on 2nd February. What will the cost of data recovery be and can it be done in the time period allocated.
